Have you ever thought about hosting your own radio show? If you have any experience with offline radio then you already know that it can be very expensive. Now you can have your own FREE RADIO SHOW at http://www.BlogTalkRadio.com!

People with all kinds of interests are hosting free radio shows at blogtalkradio.com or other providers (Google them!). You just sign up for an account and follow simple instructions to get started. When you’re ready to do your show you just call into a phone number and sign in to your switchboard.

The radio shows are free to listen to but you can make money by advertising products on your show or obtaining sponsors. Blogtalkradio seems to make their money thru Google Adsense, Amazon and other advertising programs.

A radio show would be a great addition to an existing on or offline business and could be a way of providing premium content to your customers. You may even want to pursue this idea as a complete business plan in itself. The cost of access to this technology keeps going down, so it is available to more and more online businesses each day.

Life can get in the way..

Ordinarily I wouldn’t go so long between postings, but life has intruded somewhat strongly the past week.  A week ago tomorrow was the homecoming dance for my daughter who is a high school senior, so we were caught up in that uproar.  She had fun  – we survived.

Not everyone survives, though.  Last Monday morning, a young man we have known since my daughter’s freshman year was killed in a motorcycle accident.  This hit us hard.  It hit his friends at school hard.  We had somehow ended up that year giving a group of kids rides home almost daily in our trusty minivan.  My wife did it most often, but I did my share as well.  This young man was one of our regulars.

The funeral is in a couple days, and we will get through that as well.  It seems so wrong for a 17 year old to die suddenly like this.  He certainly did his share of foolish things, but Monday wasn’t his fault.  He could have done nothing to avoid the collision that ended his life.  It makes one realize how fleeting and fragile life can be, no matter what we do.

Easy Web Income Explained #8 – Interview an Expert

Here’s how to make money with less than a couple hour’s work. Is there a topic or subject you are passionate about? People in your field of interest whom you admire?

There is an easy formula for making money by interviewing experts:

  1. Use Audio Acrobat (paid with free trial) or Audacity (totally free) to record your interviews.
  2. Get a USB mic for live use or set up Skype to record the interview.
  3. Identify 10-15 people in your niche who are considered experts.
  4. Visit forums and observe what questions repeatedly come up. Write down a few to ask each expert.
  5. Contact the experts to arrange an interview. Give him a list of questions that you’ll be asking Let them know the reason why you want to do the interview.
  6. Call them at the scheduled time and record the interview.
  7. Now edit – depending on your goal, you can treat each interview as a separate product or make it a series. Another way to go would be to edit the responses into a sort of forum or panel discussion style product.
  8. Set up the mechanism for sales and distribution, whether it is a download or a physical CD delivered through Kunaki.

Easy Web Income Explained #7 – Write an eBook

Ebooks are everywhere, in fact many affiliate items are delivered in ebook form. They are a great way to make money with your original content. Let’s say you have gotten started with article marketing or blogging, and you have lots of small articles or blog posts on a given topic. That information can be combined into larger ebooks and marketed or given away.

Providing good information gains trust and builds your credibility. People buy from those they trust.


You can get your ebook written and on the market in a very short time.

Private label rights articles can give you loads of prewritten information on any subject. This can save you lots of hours researching and writing about your topic. Start with PLR articles and rewrite them, just be sure to purchase high quality article and that you receive the proper PLR permissions.

The other option, mentioned above is to take your own posts or articles and mash them up into an ebook. If you answer questions on your blog, combine them into “Answered – The Top Ten Questions About (your topic)” – you get the idea.

Remember, give to get. Over deliver what your customers are paying for, or what you are giving them for free. That’s how you create customer loyalty and build your reputation online.

After writing your ebook find 3-4 affiliate programs and include links throughout. Just don’t over do it. Links should add value, not annoy.

Convert it into PDF format to make it easy to be read online, and distributed without changes being made by someone else.

Download a free PDF converter, or use the Open Office suite, a free substitute for Microsoft Office which can convert documents to PDFs.

If you want cover art graphics to make your ebook look much more professional, you can find lots of sources by searching Google, or go to Elance.com and find someone to make one specifically for you.

Now that you have the ebook, it’s time to promote it. Here are few ways to get started bringing in sales quickly:

Post an ad in forums that allow advertising or include it in your signature tag.

Make valuable posts at forums in your niche – don’t spam.

Use article marketing to promote the ebook, write original articles and submit them to article directories. See part four.

Advertise with Google Adwords (Website needed for this).

Easy Web Income Explained #6 – Blogging for Dollars

Now we move to techniques that require a website. Since a starting a blog is the quick and easy way for a beginner to launch a website, we start with blogging.

First let’s take care of the technical aspects of starting a blog. There are several free blogging platforms so I won’t spend time going over them. The best blogging software to use is Wordpress, but if you want to make money blogging, host your blog on your own website. You’ll need to chose a domain name and a hosting service.

Choose a Host

If you have never started a website before, you’ll find that it is easiest to choose a domain name and hosting package from the same provider. You should be able to find shared hosting for less than $10 per month. Here is a couple that I have used:

When you are choosing a host, be sure they have automated installation of Wordpress.

Choose a Topic

What do you want to write about? What is your passion, what are you an expert at? Most any topic can attract enough readers to profit in some way, but remember you will be writing about it for (hopefully) a long time, so choose wisely, and research the size of your potential audience.

Domain name Think long and hard before picking a domain name. You will not be able to change your domain name without disrupting your readership. It should be short, easy to remember, and relate to your blog topic. Avoid using any part of your name for privacy reasons, as well as the future value of your blog.

Google Analytics

You will want to track as much information about your visitors as possible, the easiest and way of doing so is with Google Analytics. Get them.

Write
Now that you are set up, start writing. You want to provide at least 4-8 posts a week for the first month. Regular, quality posts on topic will bring the visitors back.

Submit every article to article directories or sites like Digg
This is how to get links back to your blog which will help it rank in the search engines.

Advertise You can incorporate links to affiliate program sites in your blog. Sign up for Google Adsense once you have posted a dozen times or so. This is how you get paid from your blogging activities.

Easy Web Income Explained #5: Make Money Online with Affiliate Programs

I should have called this post #4b, since you’re smart enough to notice that techniques 1 through 4 involve affiliate programs.

Let’s expand on affiliate program marketing and what it involves. There are literally thousands of affiliate programs available to promote, and almost all of them are free to join. You will promote sales of SOMEONE ELSE’S PRODUCT in exchange for a commission on each sale. Notice, you don’t have to create anything – the author has created the product and the sales page. Your job is to simply send traffic there through your “affiliate link” which insures you get credit for the sale.

You can send traffic through email methods, links in articles, classified ads, offline methods, an ebook you might write, or anything else you might imagine that isn’t spam. The majority of the techniques we will discuss in this series can involve affiliate programs.

To make money online you first need to provide quality information. Give before you get, and it will lead to successful affiliate marketing.

When you select affiliate products to sell you need to find a marketable niche.  A marketable niche, one that you can market effectively to, not only likes your product but also is willing to spend money on your product.

Easy Web Income Explained #4 – Article Marketing

Everyone is talking about how great it is to make money with articles. It’s true; articles are an awesome way to make easy web income. There are several ways to do it:

Create articles that generate free traffic to your website and get sales for your offers.

The same articles can send traffic to affiliate program websites you are promoting and get you long term residual income through affiliate commissions.

You can create websites full of good content articles and run AdSense ads to generate income by selling targeted advertising to people looking for targeted traffic.

Since our focus is “no website needed”, the second of the three methods mentioned above is our target. There are many places to submit articles on topics related to the affiliate programs you might choose. Here are a few.

Part Three: Email Marketing

Here is an explanation of opt-in email marketing from About.com:

In the context of email marketing, it never takes long for catchwords like “opt-in” or “permission-based” to appear. But what exactly is opt-in email marketing?

I find it easiest to think in terms of mailing lists when it comes to email marketing. Email marketing is nothing else but mailing lists in the end. The mailing list of an opt-in marketing campaign starts empty. The only way for an email address to get onto the list is by its owner explicitly requesting it.

The request must always be for a specific list. If a customer submits a form that says “Yes, send me a copy of your current catalogue” you can add them to the list of customers who will receive a copy of the current catalogue, use the list one time and then throw it away. To continue sending them your latest catalogue, you need the explicit permission to do so (along the lines of “Yes, keep me up to date by subscribing me to your list of catalogue recipients”).

“Permission-based” means essentially the same. Marketing material is sent only with permission, and often personalized.

If you have an established email list, you can market affiliate or commission programs to your mailing list. Most affiliate programs provide you with sample emails to use, or signature files to use. Don’t be a spammer!

Because there are spam issues, this method is probably not good for the beginner. I would not hesitate to personalize one of the provided emails and send it to my family and friends, but that would be a one time, “look what I’m doing” type of message.

Build your email list through eBay by using methods such as Jim Cockrum’s outlined in his book ”Discover the Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay”.

Easy Web Income Explained #2 – eBay

You probably already know that the world’s largest marketplace is eBay. You know that you can clean out the garage and make money, but did you know you can also make money without selling or shipping any merchandise at all? That’s right; you can become an eBay affiliate and make money by referring people to the eBay website.

Go to ebay.com and find the affiliate link on the front page. Click the link and join the affiliate program. The referral program is managed by Commission Junction and pays you a referral fee for everyone who makes a purchase within 30 days of signing up through your link!

You can add eBay links and banners to your blog or website, but remember, we are working on methods that don’t need a website. While you are using eBay to clean out the garage and make a little cash to fund your internet empire, place your affiliate link on all your auctions. Put your eBay affiliate link in your email signature (If you don’t know about email signatures, google.)
